KNEE CONDITIONS

ACL TEAR

The ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) provides knee stability; this ligament commonly tears during twisting activities.

KNEE CARTILAGE INJURY

The knee joint is covered in cartilage; cartilage damage can occur as a result of trauma or wear and tear.

MCL INJURY

The MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) provides stability on the medial (inside) of the knee.  This can be torn with a valgus directed (buckle-in) load.

MENISCUS TEAR

The meniscus serves as a cushion in the knee.  When this tears, it can result in pain and/or mechanical symptoms.
